“Walk in the Clouds”

Guided Photo-Experience to the Scotland of the East – Meghalaya led By Dheeraj Paul@ Indian Photo Tours

Meghalaya, the abode of clouds, is one of the most beautiful states in the North-East India offering a variety of sights, activities, food and festivals to the photographers. As the road climbs into pine-covered hills dotted with pretty lakes, the Europeans' nickname for the area, the Scotland of the East, will start making sense.

The experience starts at Shillong - the city gateway to Meghalaya, famous for heavy rainfalls, caving, tallest waterfalls, beautiful landscapes and amazing people and culture.

Our next destination is Dawki - small International border town. A splendid destination for photographers. Passing through deep gorges and ravines, the cool, moist air takes you to Umngot River that marks the natural connection between India & Bangladesh - with fishermen’s boats dotting its surface is a sight whose majesty echoes long after you leave it.

Our Photography trip also takes you to one of the wettest place on the Earth - Cherapunji with its clean and pristine surroundings is an excellent place for untouched beauty. Also planned are shoot sessions at various hidden waterfalls tucked in between evergreen rainforest and flowing with all their majesty and might, with many of the falls plunging into mind goggling blue lagoons.

We also photo-experience the magnificent and beautiful Single Decker Living Root Bridge unique in the sense that they are thick roots, which are intermingled to form a bridge that can hold several people at a time – a sight to behold.

Hours will be invested in photographing these people, culture, villages, waterfalls, beautiful green lush hills and valleys, shrouded in a layer of occasional fog. Our photographic adventure is ideal for those seeking a journey with unparalleled photographic opportunities, guided photo-shoots & cultural photo-experience. The participants will learn to use your camera the way most professional would use it.
